CM will partner with existing ACT businesses Treonic for its discoverquick e-clinical trials knowledge machine, DF pre-clinical services for its review of the trials safety data and Osky interactive for its website and recruitment initiatives. CM also plans to forge links with the academic clinical trials units at The Canberra Hospital in the comparisons of human and animal diseases, shared risk factors and disease surveillance and research units investigating pharmacogenetic aspects of the therapeutics at the University of Canberra, Discipline of Pharmacy.
Companion Medicine Director, Amanda Craig has been elected as councillor to the Centre for Veterinary Education, based at the University of Sydney. This unit is dedicated to the continuing education of veterinarians after graduation. Amanda’s experience in academia and general practice in Australia, France and the UK will help her contribute to the continuing vibrancy and hard work of the centre. Allied to this role she will act on the executive committee with Assoc Professor Paul Mills and Dr Stephen Page and veterinary pharmacology representatives from each of the university veterinary schools to fulfil the brief of the ATLC grant for clinical pharmacology curriculum renewal to improve student outcomes and protect public health.
